Celebrating a Feature in The Times: Mel and Matt’s Unforgettable Wedding
As a wedding planner, there are few moments more rewarding than seeing your clients’ love story and big day recognised on a larger stage. That’s why I’m thrilled to share that one of the weddings I had the honour of planning has been featured in The Times! The story of Melanie Tadaion and Matthew Gojkovich’s beautiful union is now celebrated not only by their loved ones but also by the wider world, thanks to this special feature.
Mel and Matt’s journey to the altar was filled with love, laughter, and personal touches, and seeing their wedding showcased in such a publication is a testament to the beauty of their story. From their serendipitous first meeting in a steam room to their elegant and heartfelt wedding ceremony at St. Martin-in-the-Fields & Claridges, their celebration was special—and I was privileged to be a part of it.
The article in The Times highlights the unique aspects of their relationship, from Matt’s thoughtful proposal at the health club where they first met, to their desire to intertwine their cultures on their wedding day. Their Persian wedding ceremony at Claridge’s, which followed their church wedding, was a perfect reflection of their commitment to honouring both of their backgrounds and families.
I had the joy of working closely with them to bring their vision to life. Every detail, from their order of service for their religious ceremony to the Persian sofreh aghd at the reception, was designed to create a day that reflected not only their love for each other but also their personalities and shared values. The result was a wedding that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
One of the most memorable parts of the planning process was seeing the couple’s passion for creating a celebration that felt intimate yet elegant. Mel’s mother prepared a Persian feast for both families before the wedding, and on the big day itself, the joy in the air was palpable as they performed their first dance to Nina Simone’s I Put a Spell on You, transitioning seamlessly into a lively Persian song.
The article wonderfully capturing the essence of their day—the joy, the family traditions, the love that radiated through every moment. It’s always special when the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in planning a wedding are recognised, and this feature in The Times feels like the perfect way to celebrate Mel and Matt’s love story.
I’m incredibly proud to have played a role in creating their dream wedding and even more excited that their special day is now being shared with a broader audience. It’s a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do—helping couples create moments they’ll treasure forever. Congratulations again to Mel and Matt on this wonderful feature, and thank you to The Times for spotlighting their incredible day!
